Disney On Ice, Easter Egg Hunt, Watching Triplets

I apologize again for going so incredibly long inbetween posts.  I am going to try to get better at it.  My Mom and Grandma came down for a week to help Mark and Ashley out with the Triplets and for their one year birthday.  The day after the party we decided to take Mya to Disney on Ice.  Mom and Grandma came along with us.  It was a great show.  Mya absolutely loved it.  I love seeing the smile on her face when she is really enjoying what we are doing.  I could tell which disney movies she has seen and the ones that she hasn't.  Everytime that Mickey Mouse or the characters from the Toy Story were on the Ice her face would light up.  She really did enjoy the entire show.  The adults had alot of fun also.  I was worried about that but Mom, Grandma, Jess and I smiled through the whole show.  It was very entertaining.  I can't wait to continue to do things like this with her as she gets older.  My only hope is that she likes sports also.  :).  Here are a few pictures of the event.

Jess and I got up easter morning and prepped the house for our Easter celebration.  Mya is 2 and a half now and is getting really excited about surprises and about all of the holidays.  It is such a joy as a parent to see them glow about all the excitment going on around them.  We packaged up all of her goodies and hid some eggs around the house and planned an easter egg hunt for her.  She absolutely loved it.  I enjoyed it so much as well.  Here are the pictures from that event.  I also filmed a video of her hunting for the eggs.  Enjoy!!

I have also included a couple of pictures of us and the triplets.  We watched them so that Ashley and Mark could go to Sea World for Marks Birthday.  We had a blast.  I love those little girls.

While searching my computer for some items for work I came across these pictures.  They brought a tear to my eye.  It makes me realize how fast time flies and how much we must enjoy each moment in our lives and not sweat the small stuff.  Life is Precious and we shouldn't take it for granted.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.  Love you all.

Babies Room 2/28/2011

It has been way too long since my last post and I apologize for that.  I wanted to give you all and idea of where we are at with the new babies room.  The pregnancy has been going way too fast and I can hardly believe that we are half way.  Jess has been having a rough go at it the entire time.  She has been incredibly sick and been extremely tired.  Jess can't help with the painting due to be pregnant so I set off on the daunting task of getting the babies room ready.  Come to think of it Jess was pregnant with Mya when we painted the rest of the house....Coincidence?  I don't think so.  For those of you who know me well...I HATE PAINTING.  This is for a very good cause though.  We decided to not find out what sex the baby was so we had to stick with unisex colors.  Let me rephrase that...Jess decided not to find out what the sex of the baby is (I did).  Surprisingly it isn't as difficult as you would think keeping it from her.  I have just decided not to tell anyone at all.  I have been pressured believe me but I havn't let it spill.  I figure if I tell one person then it will lead to telling 2 people and then I won't be able to stop.
The few pictures that you see here are just the start to the room.  This room was our guest room and was the only room in the house that I hadn't painted yet.  We moved a couch bed into my bonus room and that is now serving as our guest room.  Any guests that we have won't mind at all.  As you can see from the pictures we selected an orange color for the top and we are doing a series of stripes on the bottom and separating these colors with some chair rail.  We are also going to hang some curtains.

I even got brave enough to let Mya help me paint.  She was a great helper with this.  She is going to make a great big sister.  Jess and I keep asking her if she wants a baby brother or a baby sister.  She floats back and forth but she has been leaning more toward a baby sister.  Only time will tell what the baby is....:).  The stripes were as much of a task as you would expect them to be.  It took me 2 weeks to do all the painting because once you painted you had to let it dry before you could paint other colors.  So after 2 long weeks the paint was done and the chair rail was up.  I couldn't have done it without my buddy Brandon who also lives next door to me.  Without his help I don't think I would have been able to do it.  Jess made a video of the completed room so enjoy.....

We are very happy with the completed room and can't wait to meet the new little one.  By the way here are the names that we picked out.  If it is a boy we are going to name him Kolby Matthew Dimmick and if it is a girl we are going to name here Addyson Dru Dimmick.  Can't Wait.

Here are a few pics and videos of Mya on her first putt putt golfing outing.  She absolutely loved it and I hope you will too.  Until next time......Love you all!!

Hockey Classic in Savannah GA

Every year for the past few years we have taken a family trip up to Savannah, GA to visit with our friends and to attend the Savannah Hockey Classic.  Mya is finally at an age where she can understand what is acctually going on.  We decided to go up on Saturday morning and we spent the afternoon with Josh, Erin, and Lily Culverhouse in Pooler GA.  Lily is a little younger than Mya and they get along so well.

Lily has a tent that Mya loved.  They both had so much fun in the tent.
On Saturday night we went to the Hockey game.  The Florida gators played the Florida State seminols.  Here are a few pictures from the game.

The smile on Mya's face during the whole game was such an amazing feeling.  I love the fact that she loves sports.  She kept yelling for the players and ended up telling me that she wanted to go skating.  I will have to take her to the ice skating rink.  God knows her mom won't be able to take her..haha.  That is another story for another time though.  There were alot of goals scored during the game, most came from the gators.  Mya clapped and cheered for every one of them.  When the Gators scored the entire crowd would do the gator chomp.  Mya loved doing that as well.  I guess I am going to have to come to terms with the fact that Mya quite possibly could become a Florida Gator...UGH!!  here is a video of Mya doing the Chomp...I have to admit it was pretty cute.

The entire trip was so much fun.  We topped off a great weekend with great friends at Crackerbarrel on Sunday morning for Breakfast.  It has become a Sunday morning tradition with the Culverhouses.

I want to share another video with you all before I go.  Mya loves telling everyone what she had and didn't have for Breakfast.

I hope you all enjoyed our family visit to Savannah.  Stay Tuned!.......
