Mya's Ballet Recital and More

Our pretty little ballerina had her first recital last week and she loved it. She has been going once a week for the last few months 30 minutes at a time on Tuesdays and the recital was the end of the year show. She got so excited everytime that we told her it was dance class night. She was in a 2-3 year old class but the teacher taught many classes The show was an hour long and it featured each one of her classes. Mya's was the best in my opinion. (That might be my biased opinion). Here are a few pictures and a video of the recital. I am even going to include a video of Mya and her after recital recital..lol

Mark and Ashley and the triplets and Jess and I and the kids went to St Augustine again this year for their annual Winter Wonderland. We all had a blast. We did pictures with Santa, sleigh rides, roasted marshmellows and Mya and I even ice skated. We all had a lot of fun and look forward to doing it again next year. Florida Aquarium

Jess and I packed the car a couple of weekends ago and we took our first road trip as a family. We have gone places with Mya but never the four of us. We did some research and found some really good things about the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. Tampa is about 3 1/2 hours away from Jacksonville so not a very long car ride at all. We had been talking about the aquarium for a couple of weeks with Mya and she was super excited. There is nothing like seeing the smile on my 3 year olds face when she is excited about something. It is such a great feeling. The aquarium was full of many different tanks full of fish, otters, alligators, and penguins. It was funny to have Mya look at something for a few minutes and then say "I want to go see something else" She absolutely loved it. We decided since it was a full day trip at the aquarium that we would get a hotel for the night. I made sure that I picked a hotel that had an indoor pool so that we had some entertainment for the night. The hotel room seemed a little small to me but I guess that is how it goes when there are four of you in the room :). We made it work. We had the hotel bring us a trundle bed and we were good to go. The next morning we got up and went and had breakfast and headed on home. Here are a few pictures from the fun filled weekend.
